After earning a bachelor’s degree in marketing management from Michigan State University, he spent 25 years in Washington D.C. working as a store and district manager. Seeking new opportunities, Paul transitioned to Starbucks and oversaw operations in Japan before retiring at 54. After his early retirement, Paul felt unfulfilled which led him to us. Spavia gave Paul just what he needed to start fresh and reenter the business world. Paul's admiration for Spavia stems from its guest focus, innovative leadership, and team culture, which align with his personal values.

He opened his first Chicago location in 2015 in Lincoln Park, which was an instant success thanks to his strong business acumen and experience in the service industry. Now, nearly 10 years later, he has continued to expand with the brand by opening his second location in Chicago’s West Loop neighborhood. His growth and commitment to providing top-notch services set him apart in the franchise industry, further proven by his recognition as the 2023 Franchisee of the Year by the International Franchise Association at their 64th Annual Convention in Phoenix, AZ.
